boring and unimaginative. This is what happens when "designers" have no luck in the west. They go to the desert where no one can be critical of their work. Good luck living in the heat and dust of Qatar. Sounds like an amazing place?!?

In many ways you're correct... But, within limits, I like to consider the cup half full rather than half empty... Here the skills of a designer can be utilized to improve and change a generic and mundane space into something more dynamic, functional and interesting... So all we now have to do is practice some empirical day-dreaming, and make them real..?!
