The Extraordinary Ordinary - Traffic Gallery Floors, Dubai...

Take a lump of Turner, add a dollop of Rothko and Kline, a healthy sprinkling of Twonbly and Newman, a tablespoon of Tapies, with perhaps a pinch of Salcedo and a smidgen (according to taste) of Basquiat - and you have the floors of the Traffic Gallery in Dubai... These concrete floors, saturated with the almost forensic markings and stains of past exhibitions and events, can also provide a crawling myriad of suggestive and analogous, Rorschach inkblot like, figurines across its monochrome planes... In their subtle vibrancy they provide a germane backdrop to the work on display...

Pretentious... Moi..?

Thanks... It's nice to occasionally use the camera on a vertical axis rather than the usual more horizontal one...
