We've recently moved to a new apartment here in Doha, and one of the ongoing tasks is to re-stack our bookshelves, something I find surprisingly engaging, even quasi-theraupeutic… Books, like old acquaintances, are always nice to re-visit. This time I also had some assistance from a book-worm/ bibliophile of a more feline persuasion…

Q-Pop Exhibition at Design Days Dubai, March 17 - 21, 2014…

Next week, a few colleagues, Graduate Program alumni, and I, will be exhibiting at the Design Days Dubai, which takes place between March 17 - 21, 2014. 

Our stand/ exhibit is called 'Q-Pop' (a contextualized rendition of 'K-Pop' or 'J-Pop', terms representing very particularized genres of Korean and Japanese popular culture). Along with providing a contextualized take of design work conceived and mainly realized in Qatar, the logo above also represents the potpourri of work we plan to exhibit (the logo was designed by Jordan Gushwa)… …
