Small Bizarres No. 6 - Fence Eating Tree...


A tree in downtown Manhattan (munch, nibble, gnaw)...

that's actually kind of grotesque and evil. evil tree. it reminds me of this show i watched (a reality show/competition, something called saatchi something or another) and the winner was this girl who found a tree like this, got a whole bunch of construction workers to cut through the gate, and transported it all to the saatchi gallery and ultimately the hermitage in russia! (the building was derelict by the way and she did have permission:)

I like it though... It reminds me of (very, very) 'slow running' of something... If spilled milk does it in a second, running honey in a few seconds, ice-cream in a few minutes, tar or tree-sap in a few days, the 'running' of the image must have taken a number of years... The tree can be considered a form of peritifed 'goo' if the time-span is long enough...
